Summer Fun

This summer has already been more fun than most of my past summers. For starters I have this little man who is getting into everything and discovering so many new things for the first time. Cam loves sandboxes . . and anything else he can dig in, be it dirt, bark dust, gravel, you name it, he is in it! He also loves the water and playing at the park. On the 4th he watched fireworks for the first time and LOVED it! He was grinning from ear to ear watching them explode above him. Fireworks are that much more enjoyable now watching them through his eyes. I didn't know what to look at more, his reaction to the fireworks or the fireworks themselves. Let's just say it was a toss up.

Dad and me at my first 5K race since Cam.
Cam looooved the slide at the Canby park.

 More Park fun!
 More Teeth : )

We also may have sold our house for the second time too. Now its just a waiting game to see if our new buyer will qualify. Fingers are crossed tight this time. I feel like the only thing on my brain lately is looking for a house. We may have found a really cute fixer upper, and when I say "fixer upper" I mean it. Wow does it need some work! But isn't there that saying out there "the best things in life are worth waiting for". At least that's what I'm hoping for.

I'm Back

Ok now that the summer is almost here and I can see light at the end of the school year tunnel I am dedicated to continue blogging. My life has been a little crazy lately. For starters we thought we had sold our house only to find out our buyers financing would fall through 2 weeks till closing. This really wouldn't be that big of a deal except that I had packed half my kitchen and sold a bunch of our furniture. Secondly my husband started a new job and I have been super busy shipping all of our Ebay sales. This is a good problem to have, but just one more thing to take away from my blog. So with all this being said "I am back"!!

Here are a few things on my summer "to do" list:

1. Make pallet bookshelves for Cam (you can see them over at www.littlelucylu.com)

2. Sand, paint, and age an old ugly dresser we have

3. Run a LOT!!

4. Get a bike and trailer for Cam

5. Spend LOTS of time with my baby

6. Revamp my family room (new throw pillows, change up coffee tables and wall hangings)

Although before I can get started on this list I need to get through this last week of school!! Yay for summer : )

Beach Trip

BLOG TITLE

Linking up to my friend Rebecca's link party over at littlelucylu.com This week has been the one of the best weeks of our lives. Two very exciting things are happening for us right now. First off we sold our house. We have been trying to sell our house now for over a year and finally we can put that "SOLD" sign on our For Sale sign! Yay!! The other awesome news I will post soon. I so want to tell everyone, but it's still hush, hush for now.

This past weekend we went to the beach for the millionth time. The beach is our favorite place to go and enjoy time together as a family and just relax. My husbands parents (or better known as Grandma and Grandpa) accompanied us to the beach to celebrate Mothers Day. We ended up have two beautiful days to play on the beach! This was Cam's first time experiencing the beach and he LOVED it!! Here are some pics of us hanging on the beach together:

Mothers Day 2011

It's hard to believe I am already celebrating my second year as a mom! Last year Cam was just a little over a month old and I felt as though I didn't even deserve the title "Mom" yet. This year is a whole different story. Being a mom is the best gift I could be given. It is amazing how much a little baby changes you. Even though I have many sleepless nights, shorter showers, short-lived shopping trips, and virtually no time to myself, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I never thought this kind of love was possible. I love my husband more than the world and yet the love I feel for my little guy is somehow different. It is the kind of love where you would jump in front of a bus if you needed to, to keep them safe and secure. I also never thought my favorite way to celebrate a day off would be to just spend the day going for walks, reading stories, pushing Cam in the baby swing and just spending time with my little guy. Cam has changed me in more ways that I even know. Here are some pictures of some of my favorite mom moments captured on film : )

Here are some moms in my family I love and appreciate for all they do! I am soooo thankful for who they are as people : ) These ladies have made a BIG impact in my life and Cam's! Love you guys more than you know!
My Mom (Grandma Cindy)

My Great Grandma Teresa (Cam's Great, Great, Grandma)

Ryan's mom Kathy (Grandma Kathy to Cam)

I wish all the moms out there a VERY Happy Mothers Day!!! Enjoy your day : )

Yay for Fun Friday

Wow is it already Friday (well really Saturday by the time I post this)? This week was sooo busy, but finished so fast.  Today I am heading to Neskowin for 3 nights watching the waves with Ryan's family! Cam is gonna be so excited to see Grandma and Grandpa too! Here are a few of the things I am loving this Friday!
  1. My baby Cam! Here he is in his new car! He LOVES this thing. We managed to get out once this week in between rain showers. So ready for the rain to LEAVE us!! We have had more than our share this year.

Cam in his P.J.'s the other night. These are my favorites right now! Love the tie and the expression on his face. He is sooo goofy right now. He's got Daddy and me cracking up every day!

2. My latest deal! Anyone that knows me knows I can't pass up a deal, even if I REALLY don't need it. I am working on this, or so I think I am : ) The three things I can't live without: jeans, jeans, and more jeans! These are Luckys Sweet and Low jeans in 34 length! These are impossible to find longer than a 32 inseam. I found this little treasure at T.J. Maxx for 34.99. That is almost a $100 bucks cheaper than their sticker price! This was my "shopping high" for the week. Yay for T.J. Maxx, one of my all time favorite places to shop. It's a treasure hunt, you never know what you are going to find : )

3. Nike Sportband returns
I have lived with you for over a year now and I am just now resurrecting you from the bathroom drawer. I have willingly let you lie there while I have run blind, not knowing my distance, pace or heart rate. Well no more running blind for me! I am now wearing this thing like a second skin on my runs. I can now say I am running 40+ miles a week at a sub 7 minute mile pace. Very happy to be back in my pre-pregnancy running form, but miss the days of  Lackadaisical running! Now to sign up for my first race. All in good time : ) Happy running to all!

4. My Favorite Snack or should I say, all I am eating right now!
I LOVE Biscoff. I could single handedly eat a whole package of this stuff for a meal. I can't get enough of it. I had it on my flight from Baltimore last summer and I have been eating it every since. It's hard to find though. Walgreens has it for only $2.50 a package. Just know, once you start eating this you can't stop.
5. My New Toy
I just got my first DSLR camera. I bought the Nikon D3100 after a close friend recommended it. Still figuring this thing out, but excited to learn how to really use it.
Here are my first few pictures with it:

Cam showing us his mad moves!

Just love this picture : )

 6. At the Beach for Mothers Day
More pictures to come later, but here is a picture I took this morning of Cam and our Seagull friend. We fed him (the seagull) when we first got here and now he loves to hang out in front of our window, hoping for more bread. Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there : ) Hopefully you are doing something fun to celebrate too!

Blog Craziness

I am officially obsessed! I can't stop thinking of everything I want to do and change on this blog. However, I wish I could just wave my hand and have it all done : ( Where is that pixie dust when I need it? I now have a "blog to do list" saved on my desktop. Crazy I know, but hopefully one day I can say I accomplished most everything on it. For now I'll keep plugging along.

Blog with you soon,

Sherry
